Gasthof Brauerei Schwanen (Gasthof Brewery Schwanen)

1697 |
First reference to the inn and brewery zum Schwanen in the Schwanengasse under innkeeper Johann Bueler. This includes a distillery and a sizeable farm. Owners and innkeepers changed over the course of the centuries, the location always remained the same.

Brewer Joseph Laib acquires the Schwanen including dining room, barn, stables, brewery, distillery, courtyard, bowling alley, and vegetable garden with garden house.

1906 |
Son Albert Laib takes over as the new innkeeper of the Schwanen. His daughter Kreszentia Laib marries master brewer and farmer Dominikus Miller in 1938.

1977 |
The family legacy is continued by son Karl and his wife Hedi. Both Miller generations work hand in hand on the concept and implementation to transform the operation of the time into the present company.

1983 |
This year marks not only the specialization of the brewery in the production of barrel beer, but also the complete new construction of the catering area with corresponding modifications.

2001 |
On the 100th birthday of Dominikus Miller in October, the "DOMINIKUS lager beer" will be filled in the 0.33 l. bottle.

2005 |
Start of the brewing workshops in Schwanen on the smallest brewing plant in the city.
