The Brauerei zum Rössle (Brewery zum Rössle) can look back upon a very long tradition in the lively, lower part of the city. Beer has been officially brewed here since 1663, making Rössle the oldest brewery in Ehingen.
The 6th generation of the Buckenmaier family has managed the brewery since 1883. Friedrich Buckenmaier took over the brewery from his father in 1983. In the meantime, both Master Brewer Friedrich and his son Julius brew 4 different varieties of beer year-round:
This is supplemented by the coveted bock beer and its seasonal start in November and Christmas beer during the Christmas season. All beers are available in barrels and in bottles either directly from the brewery or from our delivery service. The cozy, traditionally maintained beerhouse extends an invitation to linger and savor a snack. The adjacent room is ideal for club meetings, class reunions, or other festivities.
Julius Buckenmaier offers guided brewery tours on request, whereby beer tasting is now offered in the new storage cellar.
