Beer Hiking Tour – Germany’s Most Beautiful Hiking Trail
“We’re on a trek from one beer to the next” is the trend in Ehingen since summer 2009.
Only one year later, the hiking trail (which is certified by the International Sport Association) was voted one of the 30 most beautiful hiking trails in Germany by the popular “Hiking Magazine”! Three Trails
Start and finish of the popular hiking trail is at the “Gasthof zum Ochsen“ in the heart of the city center. The route leads past numerous must-see historical buildings and ends with a breathtaking view across the Danube. The route is modularly structured and has three hiking trails:
- 5 km “Historical City Tour with Beer Culture”
- 10 km “Historical City Tour with Beer Culture & View of the Danube”
- 15 km “Historical City Tour with Beer Culture, View of the Danube & Beer Museumle (Museum)”
The use of the beer culture hiking trail is, of course, free of charge. Does the revered hiker have to have hiked through the “permanent beer hiking trail” in Ehingen? No – but he should!

The hiking trail will be evaluated for IVV hikers with IVV registration and kilometer assessment. IVV entry fee payment is 1.50 euros.
